pastilhasandClaude Opus 5 c9735580fc declare panel channels once, and fix the bump that could lose a refresh
Four channels were bare string literals repeated across files, with the payload type supplied by each
caller. Neither hole errors: a typo yields a different, empty channel — publisher publishing into nowhere,
subscriber waiting forever — and a publisher and subscriber can simply disagree about the payload with
nothing to check them. defineChannel(name, initial) returns the hook, officerdev/src/channels.ts declares
the four, and every usePanelChannel call site in the repo now passes a shared constant.

files:refresh-signal was bumped two different ways: Date.now() at the Chat sites, setSignal((n) => n + 1)
at the FileViewer ones. The increment is wrong — useGlobal's functional setter applies against the value
captured at render, so two bumps in one render window both compute snapshot + 1 and the second writes the
same number as the first. Nobody re-reads and the file that was just written stays stale. Date.now() has
the same flaw at millisecond scale, and the four FileViewer sites (save, delete, extract, transcribe) sit
close enough to hit it. useFilesRefresh's bump is a module counter that never reads React state, so it is
right however many times it is called between renders, and it is identity-stable through a ref because
useGlobal's setter is a fresh closure every render and this goes into dependency lists.

system-settings:run-command is deleted. It had a writer once — 7c0b11c wired the AI harness installer to
it — and when that install moved server-side to POST /server-settings/chat-providers/install the write
went with it, leaving a channel whose only remaining writes were clears, a terminal pane nothing could
open, and a second layout nothing could select.

PanelComponentEntry's component, header and provider are typed with { panelId: string }, which is what
PanelSlot has always rendered them with. A no-prop component is still assignable, so no screen changed.

chat:active-session and preview:refresh are declared but still have no subscriber. preview:refresh has no
plausible one — the PreviewProvider that read it is gone from the repo — but both are published by the
chat panel, and that is not this branch's to change.

pastilhasandClaude Opus 5 537a77d320 capabilities: the dock a member sees, and the screen the owner grants from
useCapabilities is the frontend's view of the model and explicitly NOT its
enforcement — hiding a dock icon is a courtesy, the 403 in origin-validation
is the lock. so it fails OPEN: if the request errors the full dock renders.
a member clicking through to a 403 is a bad minute; an owner locked out of
their own platform by a transient network error is an incident, and the
server refuses what it should refuse either way.

the endpoint returns held routes AND denied routes, because absence from the
held list cannot distinguish a route this account lacks from one no
capability claims at all — `/`, the settings shell — and a guard that cannot
tell those apart either blanks the app or guards nothing. i wrote the first
version without the second list and it silently permitted everything.

`can` and `canVisit` are memoised on the query data. a verb rebuilt every
render gets a new identity every render, which is how every playback report
in the jellyfin player was disabled for days; the dock filter puts one in a
useMemo dependency list, so it would have been the same bug.

the permissions screen is one role at a time, with an explicit save and a
dirty state, rather than a roles-by-capabilities grid — a grid invites
reading across rows, which is not a question anyone has, and makes revoking
gitea for every member one click among fifty. it also states plainly why
terminal, chat, files and the rest are absent, so their absence reads as a
decision rather than as a missing feature.

pastilhasandClaude Opus 5 e54d71da71 api: five reads that were declared as writes are now GET
The permission model being built reads the HTTP method to decide whether a
non-owner may make a call: safe methods are reads, everything else is a write.
That only works if the method tells the truth. These five read something and
returned it while announcing themselves as writes, so a member would have been
denied a read they are entitled to because of a habit in how the route was
declared.

  /api/file-browser/video-info         POST {url}  -> GET ?url=
  /api/file-browser/video-playlist     POST {url}  -> GET ?url=
  /api/server-settings/ocr/models      POST {url}  -> GET ?url=
  /api/transmission/_officer/port-test POST        -> GET
  /api/jellyfin/_config/:id/test       POST|GET    -> GET only

The last one already answered to both, which is worse than either: a method that
means nothing cannot be the thing authorisation reads.

Deliberately stops at five. A sweep of all 100 mutating routes found many more
reads wearing POST, and they are staying, for two reasons that are not going
away: some need a request body GET cannot carry (/stt takes multipart audio;
/tts, /ocr, /transcribe take payloads), and some carry a credential, where a
query string is the wrong place — access logs, shell history and Referer headers
all capture those, request bodies do not (/tts/voices takes an apiKey, the four
/test endpoints take connection secrets, /local-providers/probe takes auth).

So the method alone can never carry the permission model, and the registry will
need an explicit per-route classification regardless. Converting these five is
worth it because it is free; converting the rest would be a breaking change
across 117 mobile call sites that buys nothing.

Web callers updated in the same commit; the sidecar contract comments now match.
Mobile has exactly one caller to change — transmissionPortTest in
packages/core/src/services/transmission.ts — and no shim was added, because an
endpoint answering to both methods is the problem this commit exists to fix.

docs/api-method-changes-2026-08-06.md is the handoff for the mobile team: what
changed, the one line to edit, what deliberately did NOT change and why, and how
to verify.

pastilhasandClaude Opus 5 a328451250 add /settings/user-management
The role column now has somewhere to be used from. Lists every account, changes
roles, removes members.

API — all owner-only, mounted on the existing users router:
GET /api/users list, plus the role enum so the UI never
                               hand-writes the names
  PATCH /api/users/:id/role change a role
  DELETE /api/users/:id remove an account

ownerGate uses isSuperAdmin, which now reads the role column. The global backstop
in originScopeMiddleware already confines a non-owner token to /api/auth +
/api/music, so a Member cannot reach any of this — the gate is the explicit
statement of intent and gives a clear 403 rather than leaning on a rule written
for another purpose.

The password hash never leaves the handler: listing accounts is not a reason to
hand out hashes, so the response is an explicit shape rather than the row.

The owner is refused twice over, in both handlers, before the database has to.
ck_users_owner_is_super_admin and deleteUser() would each reject it anyway, but a
raw CHECK violation surfaces as a 500 in Postgres wording, which tells the person
clicking a dropdown nothing. Same reason `isOwner` is on the wire: the UI locks
that row rather than offering an action that cannot succeed.

The menu entry is shown to the owner only. That is tidiness, not access control —
the route stays reachable and the endpoints are gated server-side, because a
hidden menu item is not a permission and anything relying on it being hidden is
already wrong. Said so in the code, next to both.

Deleting cascades — passkeys, dashboards, screens, email accounts, playlists —
and there is no undo, so it asks first and says what goes.

Not built: invitations. Creating an account still means bootstrap or a row by
hand; an invite flow needs a token, an email and an acceptance screen, which is
its own piece of work.

Untested at runtime: the routes 404 on the running server because platform TS
does not hot-reload. Everything typechecks, the token path was verified against
/api/dashboards, /api/tasks and /api/jobs returning 200, and the 404 is the
restart asymmetry rather than the wiring. Needs `pm2 restart officer`.

pastilhasandClaude Opus 5 75666e5e94 settings: manage dav app passwords
Settings → Integrations → Calendar & Contacts sync. without this there is no way
to mint a credential from the app, and minting one was the first step of testing
the whole caldav feature on a phone.

the generated password is returned by POST and never again — it is stored as an
argon2 hash, so there is nothing to read back. that one fact drives the screen:
the new credential appears in a panel that stays until dismissed, with the
server url and username beside it, because once it is gone the only remedy is to
revoke and mint another.

the server url is read from window.location.origin rather than configured. it is
by definition the address that reached this page, so it is the one that will
work on the phone.

rows show the hint prefix and last-used date. "never used" is the tell that a
device was set up wrong, so it gets its own wording rather than a blank.

pastilhasandClaude Opus 5 c9d680b133 remove the telegram and whatsapp channels, reduce discord to notifications
All three existed to drive the platform from a chat app. The phone app does that now, so
they are dead weight — three bot gateways, three command parsers, account pairing, admin
config screens and bot tokens sitting in the database.

Gone entirely: telegram/ and whatsapp/, discord/'s bot and command handler, the shared
channel plumbing they were the only users of (pairing.ts, send-and-await.ts, types.ts,
routes.ts and its 20 config/pairing/status endpoints), the six settings components, and
their sections in the integrations screen.

What Discord keeps is the one piece worth keeping — pushing a message out — as
notify/discord.ts, configured by DISCORD_WEBHOOK_URL in the env. No UI, no pairing, no
stored credential, and it never throws: a notification that fails to send is logged and
dropped. Unset means notifications are silently skipped, which is the default state.

Kept deliberately: send-claude-code.ts and send-opencode.ts. They live under channels/ but
have nothing to do with chat apps — they are how /chat and the pipeline executor drive an
agent turn.

Also drops four dependencies with no remaining importer (discord.js,
node-telegram-bot-api, whatsapp-web.js, qrcode), and the /sync-now route added to the email
sidecar an hour ago, whose only consumer was the channel handlers.

The "Channel Models" settings section stays, with its description corrected — it is keyed
off the general access policy rather than anything channel-specific, so it governs non-owner
accounts, not chat apps. Whether that whole class still earns its place is the open
question already noted against origin-validation.

Not touched: the telegram, whatsapp and discord rows in server_integrations, which still
hold their bot tokens. Deleting rows is a different kind of decision and the SQL is in the
handover.

pastilhas 188b45c113 remove projects and apps end to end
deletes the last of the projects/apps cluster: the published-app store
(/api/apps + /api/app-serve), the project dev-server and its websocket
proxy (/api/dev-server + /api/dev-server-proxy), the shared html-rewrite
they were the only consumers of, and their frontend — the Preview panel,
the UserApp panel/header, useUserApps and the /settings/apps screen.

also drops getUserProjectsDir and getUserAppsDir, the ProjectType and
ProjectDefinition types, and the 'dev-server' websocket provider from
server.tsx. nothing on disk is touched.

brunorezioandClaude Opus 5 0d67e2af26 clear the remaining type errors
- DiscordAccount seeded DiscordStatus without its two nullable fields.
- bug-report typed reporter.name as string, but users.name is nullable; and the
Discord upload wrapped a Buffer directly in a Blob.
- Lucide icons take no `title` prop, so the sync spinner's tooltip moved to a
  wrapping span.
- DesktopView cast its dynamic import to a type that included `| null`.
- dock PUT cast the request body straight to string[]; it now rejects anything
that is not an array of strings instead of writing it to the database.
- buildZodSchema assembles a mutable record, since z.ZodRawShape is readonly in
  zod v4.
- The dev-server proxy forwards Bun's `string | Buffer` frames through a helper
  that satisfies WebSocket.send without copying.

bunx tsgo is now clean.

brunorezioandClaude Opus 5 1fa3a659bc restore the code editor screen, drop the dead theme picker, unshadow AppRegistry
Three unrelated type errors that each pointed at something actually broken:

- Dashboard.CodeEditor was deleted in ab03b17 ("Projects") while the
/code-editor route and the dock's Editor item kept pointing at it, so the
  route rendered undefined. Screen restored.

- Appearance.tsx imported 'themes', a workspace deleted in 0746844. Nothing
reads settings.appearance.colorTheme and no theme CSS survives, so the picker
was writing a value with no consumer. Removed it and the setting; colorMode
  stays, it is live.

- officerdev exported both a component and a type named AppRegistry, so
`import { AppRegistry }` resolved to the type and <AppRegistry /> failed to
typecheck. Renamed the Record type to AppRegistryMap.

Also declares "*.css" so side-effect stylesheet imports resolve.

brunorezioandClaude Opus 5 044aacf4d5 remove the dead multi-user surface
Officer is single-user: the server owner is the only account, created once by
/auth/bootstrap. Everything that existed to serve additional users was
unreachable, so it is gone rather than left looking like it does something.

Accounts: drop the invite / resend-invite / delete / list-users routes and the
Users settings screen, the inert /auth/signup handler, and the account
verification chain it fed (verify, resend-verification, VerifyScreen, the
UserInvite + VerifyAdmin + VerifyRegistration templates). /auth/verify-token
survives for password resets only, and now requires a reset-password token
rather than accepting any signed JWT.

Roles: drop the users.role column and the four-value USER_ROLES enum. The
permissions table granted every role identical methods, and every
role === 'Super Admin' check was permanently true. The JWT no longer carries a
role claim.

Sandbox: remove sidecar/sandbox.ts and its five call sites. bwrap was selected
only for non-Super-Admin users, so it never ran. It was also not a usable agent
jail as written — --share-net, the project root (with .env) bound read-only,
and runuser dropping to the server's own uid. Rebuilding it for agent
containment would be a different construction, and git history keeps this one.

getHomeDir keeps its DATA_PATH meaning; the new getOwnerHomeDir resolves the
owner's real login home, which is what terminals, chats and task runs use.

pastilhasandClaude Opus 4.8 669692355d chat: rename the pi-mono provider router + purge residual pi names (Stage 4b/2)
Renames the AI-harness/provider settings router into the chat namespace and
clears the remaining "pi" identifiers from the chat stack.

- server-settings/pi-mono.ts → chat-providers.ts; piMonoRouter → chatProvidersRouter;
  route /server-settings/pi-mono → /server-settings/chat-providers (+ all callers)
- piId → providerId (PROVIDERS map + AIHarnessesSection UI), PiProvider → ChatProvider,
  PI_MONO_* query keys → CHAT_PROVIDERS_*, installPiMono → installAgent
- data-path: PI_CONFIG_DIR → AGENT_CONFIG_DIR (path ~/.pi/agent unchanged);
  drop dead getPiMonoDir/getPiMonoSessionDir exports
- settings: flip the vestigial defaultProvider literal 'pi' → 'chat' (never read;
only defaultModel drives behavior); access-policy config key 'pi-access-policy'
  → 'chat-access-policy'
- misc: ModelSelector fallback label, TaskDefaults model grouping, CapabilityPage
chat var, a stale stream-parser comment

Intentionally left (genuine external `pi`/opencode references, not ours to rename):
the `pi` binary install/version flow (@mariozechner/pi-coding-agent, `which pi`),
the ~/.pi/agent config path, PI_TOOLS_DIRS/PI_SEARXNG_URL runtime env-var contract,
TOOL.md `targets: pi` metadata, and the "Pi Mono" installer UI label.

pastilhasandClaude Opus 4.8 49df1c0b0c chat: rename the pi chat transport + model list to chat (Stage 4b/1)
Pure rename, no behavior change. Moves the misnamed "pi" chat harness into the
chat namespace:

- api/pi/{websocket,session-manager,types,logger,list-models} → api/chat/
- merge api/pi/rest.ts into api/chat/chat.ts (/pi/models → /chat/models,
  /pi/stt → /chat/stt); drop the piRestRouter mount
- PiEvent → ChatEvent, piWebsocket → chatWebsocket, listPiModels → listChatModels
- WS route /api/pi/chat/ws → /api/chat/ws, provider tag 'pi' → 'chat'
- frontend: useChat/useAudioRecording URLs, usePiModels→useModels /
  useVisiblePiModels→useVisibleModels / useEnabledPiModels→useEnabledModels,
  'PI_MODELS' query key → 'CHAT_MODELS', attachments provider 'pi-mono' → 'chat'

The /pi-mono provider/harness settings router is renamed separately (next commit).
Note: the WS route change requires the mobile app to point at /api/chat/ws.
